Why learn Japanese?
Modern Japanese is spoken by over 120 million speakers, most in the islands of Japan. There are also many Japanese speakers in Brazil, and the USA. In fact, 12% of Hawaii residents speak Japanese. Learning Japanese will help you with the culture, films, computer games and magazine. If you are in business, the Japanese market is big enough to warrant learning the language.
Japanese is a mixture of three scripts, Kanji, Hiragana and Katakana. There are no genders in Japanese, which is different from a lot of European languages.
