Discovery Languages Ltd was founded in 2020 to provide bespoke and high quality language tuition for teenagers and adults. DLL has provided language tuition for a range of large and small organisations such as Michelin Tyre Plc, University of Dundee, Don and Low Ltd as well as individuals and young people studying for exams. Sandra Crowther is the founder and director of Discovery Languages. After a career in scientific programming and then English teaching, Sandra founded Discovery Languages in April 2020. Having found languages difficult at school, she learned German after relocating to Germany. “The secret wasn’t about saying everything correctly, it was trying to speak and communicate”. Since then, Sandra returned to Scotland and has carried on her German learning. She goes into schools in Tayside and gives talks about the benefits of learning a second (or third, or fourth..) language in partnership with Developing the Young Workforce Developing the Young Workforce Tay Cities. Sandra offers interns from the University of Dundee work experience in a small business.
