Why talk about hobbies when you are learning a language?
Hobbies are a great topic to talk about when you are learning a language and it’s good for all levels. We are passionate about our hobbies and interests and this makes for a great conversation piece. Find out what your hobby is called in your target language. What equipment do you need? Where do you do your hobby? Why do you do it? How do you feel when you are doing your hobby? What time of year do you do it? Who do you do it with? Write it down in a list or a mind map-any way that helps you remember and learn. Look over your notes in a week and a month. Practise what you have learned on a native speaker! Bring your hobby into your language learning.
