New Year’s Tips -final thoughts

Congratulations on getting to the end of our New Year Tips. We have discussed a range of ideas to help you with your language learning journey. We have discussed goal setting, learning journals, learning style, listening skills, using DVDs, reading skills, technology, conversation classes and enthusiasm. As you can see, there isn’t just one way to improve your language skills, we have discussed a few ways over the last ten days. Our final tip, #10, is about progress. Learning is not linear, and it is unlikely you will learn like graph A. Learning is more like graph B, which shows ups and downs with learning where you learn and forget something. But eventually, you can see the trend for the squiggly line is upwards, so you are making progress, even when it sometimes feels like you aren’t.

Get in touch with us here at Discovery Languages and we will help you on your language journey.
